TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF LUCK OF THE IRISH’S SPECIAL SALE PRICE – ONLY $0.99.

Keira Ashe’s parents are great but her mother has overprotected her for years. Now, this twenty-two-year-old Bostonian has graduated from college and can go on a trip she has been planning for years. She fears her shyness may get in the way of her enjoying what could be a life-altering adventure. However, Keira feels her luck is about to change when she meets gorgeous bartender Declan Slane.

Declan Slane is twenty-six and works at a hotel bar in Dublin. He hasn’t been very lucky in his love life so far. Also, he has got a troubled past he has chosen not to revisit in order to keep his sanity. Because he isn’t looking for a girlfriend, Declan isn’t very pleased to meet a certain breathtaking American who walks into his bar one afternoon.

Get a taste of adventure and heartache as Keira spreads her wings and matures while she gets to know her great-grandparents’ home country – Ireland. Hold your breath when she faces tough decisions and dangers. Root for Keira while she weighs up the consequences of making love for the first time. Bite your nails when she comes across unforeseen threats.

Liz Gavin’s second full-length novel is hard to put down just as it is hard to pinpoint its genre. She has woven an intricate web around her characters that will leave readers breathless. In the sizzling concoction, this talented new author poured heart-warming romance, heart-stopping suspense, and a dash of heart-searching paranormal. Take your pick. Regardless of the literary genre you might favor, Liz Gavin’s writing will take you to a whole different side of it.

BOOK OF THE MONTH at RRBC

Being honored as a Book of the Month

RRRBC-Logo

HELLO, AWESOME RRBC MEMBERS!!

THANK YOU for your continued support.

Yesterday I got the best surprise when I logged into RRBC site and found out ‘Luck of the Irish’ had been select as one of the three Books of the Month!!! I had no idea! I felt humbled and honored at the same time because even though Rave Reviews Book Club IS all about supporting to be supported I keep feeling I’m not supporting enough.

I mean, I get so much awesomeness from all of you – starting with the Governing Board, which work super-hard so that the members have NO IDEA how hard they work LOL – that I feel in debt. Besides, I have so much FUN interacting with everyone online that it doesn’t feel like I’m doing that for others. And that’s why I smile whenever I read a comment saying that I’m ‘doing a great job’ or that I’m ‘so supportive’. When something isn’t hard for me and I enjoy myself too much doing it, it’s NOT a ‘job’ for me, do get my meaning? Hahaha

As for being supportive, when I pop up during a blog tour and interact with the host and guest, it’s because I LOVE DOING IT. Likewise, when I come to Rave Reviews Book Club’s site and leave a comment or thank somebody, I’m doing that for two simple reason:
a) it’s one of my tasks as Admin. Assistant – LOL
b) I JUST LOVE DOING IT, TOO!!

What can I say? I was blessed!! Nonnie & Marlena have assigned me to do stuff that I truly enjoy so much. Thank YOU, ladies! 😀

Bottom line here is that you all say I’ve been doing a good job and I know that’s why you’ve been showering me with wonderful things, the last one of those being the BOM for ‘Luck of the Irish’. From my perspective, what I’ve been doing at RRBC and for our membership is the minimum ‘payback’ I can manage within my crazy working schedule and considering all the GREAT things RRBC has brought to my life over the last three months.

I’ve run out of ways to say THANK YOU but I mean it from the bottom of my heart!! 😀

RAVE REVIEWS BOOK CLUB ROCK!! And the least I can do is keep on giving back to you all!

#112 AMAZON KINDLE STORE

WOW!

I woke up to some great news this morning. Luck of the Irish got to # 112 in the Kindle Store.
Now, I KNOW it’s due to a FREE PROMO but I’m celebrating it anyway. It got 2,045 downloads in a single day and that alone is quite an achievement for an indie book, in my opinion. However, I ALSO know I couldn’t have done it withour Rave Reviews Book Club’s help. You see, I joined the club a year ago but, aside from some reviews and tweets, I wasn’t a very active participant until last month for many reasons that had nothing to do with the Club.
Over the last thirty days, I volunteered for the Tweet Team (which has been an AWESOME experience, btw), became a Blog Tour Host, have participated in the tours as a visitor and as an author and – voilá! RRBC’s slogan came to life – SUPPORT others and you’ll be SUPPORTED because NONNIE received me for an interview on her famous SHELF AND the Governing Board received me with open arms. It’s as simple as that and that is the BEAUTY of this ethos.

Thank YOU, dear RRBC members for your invaluable supportive system. You are the safety net that allows me to dream of higher flights. 😀

Watch Nonnie Write!

Liz Gavin is one of the most energetic and awesome people I’ve ever encountered.  Her obvious zest and love for life is contagious and I’m so glad she has stopped at WATCH NONNIE WRITE! to share some of those positive vibes.  She’s here today to kick off the 1st of a five-part series on MARKETING INDIE BOOKS.  Guests, I give you, AUTHOR, LIZ GAVIN!

DSC00897MARKETING INDIE BOOKS (Part 1 of 5)

It is hard to write a novel. It’s time-consuming to the point we neglect family and friends. It’s so distracting we walk around with our heads in the clouds, hearing dialogs in our heads and seeing things that are not there. All writers know what I’m talking about here. It’s nothing new but it’s a fact.

It is also a fact that most writers know next to nothing about promoting their books. They – no, strike that…

WOW!!! I read the whole book in 24 hours. It was so good I had the hardest time putting it down. The story takes place in Ireland & has such great detail it’s like being there. Declan & Keira have such a great story: it includes meeting your soul mate, travel, friends, family, love, kidnapping, murder, romance & more love. I would recommend Luck of the Irish to anyone who loves a good romantic love store with twists & turns but a happy ending. I was provided with a free copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Luck of the Irish by: Liz Gavin A 5* Must Read!!!!, January 4, 2015
This review is from: Luck of the Irish: Complete Edition (Kindle Edition)
WELL!!!! When I first started reading this book I had a hard time staying with it. BUT the further I read the more captivated I became. With strong characters, Kiera and Declan, their story started slow but finally got up and running. The more I read ( thank goodness I didn’t stop) the more I wanted to read. Set in Ireland with believable descriptions of buildings, landscape and people that just added to the storyline. I read other reviews and some I found most agreeable.

This book has everything in it, sweet romance – an alpha male – suspense – murder – erotica , did I mention everything!!

Kiera sets out to live a dream after listening to her grandfather’s tales of the homeland. Working and saving she was also going to get to see her favorite group UT performing in their hometown. Sadly the concert was cancelled but that led her to Declan. I won’t post spoilers but if you enjoy reading any genre you’ll love this book. Liz Gavin has a most sensational imagination and spares none on this story. This is the first of her work that I’ve read but I can’t wait to devour more.

I was provided with a free copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

Please give a big welcome to Liz Gavin who is gracing my blog today! Don’t forget to pick up a copy of her book, Luck of the Irish.

A review from Amazon:
“What a great story this is. The struggles, passions and undying love that was bouncing off of the pages. This is a page turner. I loved all of the twists and turns that came up with these star-crossed lovers. In the beginning, Keira presents herself as a whiny, immature young girl. Towards the end she emerges this strong and powerful woman. Declan is a boy with no direction and never knows what he is going to do next. He too rises to the occasion and becomes the male counterpart to Keira’s Hero persona. In the end, as always, love concurs all.” Robyn

Heart Of Fiction: Bloggin' A Book

Luck of the Irish by Liz Gavin

A short and powerful scene:

When Declan opened his eyes again, he didn’t know how much time had passed. The house was deadly quiet. O’Hallon was nowhere to be seen. Declan sluggishly crawled forward and sat up beside Keira. He could barely breathe, due to the effort to move and the loss of blood, but he pulled her lifeless body onto his lap and held her close. He hugged her tight against his chest. He buried his face in her hair, which was covered in blood, and cried like he hadn’t cried since he was a little boy. He felt like he was six again.

“Please, please, don’t leave me, Keira.”

His sobs filled the air. He balled his hands into fists, frustrated because Keira didn’t respond. He couldn’t face the evidence that she wasn’t able to answer him.

“This is my fault, too. He wouldn’t have killed you, if…
