Sweet, sexy novella

* I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Matchmaker is the first book by Heather Dahlgren I read and it’s made me a fan! She did such a great job of fleshing out the characters, finding the perfect balance between showing us enough details that we can ‘see’ what’s happening without sounding like she’s describing too much. I mean, the first scene we see Davis is a good example. The dialogue is well-written enough we feel like we’re sitting there with Davis and his niece Tracey. What a way to introduce the hero of a romantic story! Isn’t he A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E in that interaction with the little one? Not only Davis and Tracey but all characters are realistic, interesting, and likable.

As for the storyline, it’s well-developed, believable, and fun. All qualities you’ll find in an engaging book. In fact, Matchmaker is so engaging that I wouldn’t recommend you start reading it before bed. You might not be able to stop reading it and will end up oversleeping the next morning. LOL but I do recommend you read it if you’re enjoying summer by a pool or at the beach. This way when you get too hot from the sexy scenes you can always jump in the water to cool off or turn up the AC if you’re indoors. Then blame it on the hot weather!
